Leo Miranda

Leopoldo Miranda is the Assistant Regional Director of the Ecological Services (Southeast Region) at US Fish and Wildlife Service. Prior to his current position, he has been a marine biologist in Puerto Rico, a private lands coordinator in Washington D.C., and Supervisor of the Chesapeake Bay Office in Annapolis, Maryland.  I first met Leo when I was a little kid, he was conducting an outreach program with my elementary school back in Puerto Rico. We have stayed in contact ever since, and he has become one of the greatest mentors throughout my life. There are no words to describe how even from a distance, he has helped me grow and become the person I am today. Gracias Leo!
